HELLO(: PLEASE READ THIS POST!

Here is the information about this tuesday's BBQ.


The Various Committees:

OVERALL-IN-CHARGE: VINA HO, ALICIA CHEW
1. To see to everything and all the arrangements.

VICE OVERALL-IN-CHARGE: CHEN YUYING, GLORIA LIN
1. To help the overall-in-charge with the planning of the bbq.

DEVOTION COMMITTEE: GLORIA LIN, CHEN YUYING, ANNABELLE WONG
2. To plan the topic for devotion and make slides (if needed) for singspiration. Make sure that it will run smoothly.

FOOD COMMITTEE: GRACE TEO, JULIA TAN, ANNABELLE WONG
1 To see to the caterers of the bbq party, being the ones to order the food, so on and so forth. So, they are dealing with everything related to food.

GAMES COMMITTEE: CHEN YUYING, GLORIA LIN, VINA HO
1 To take care of all the games, and plan the activities during the whole bbq party, so as to ensure that everyone is entertained, and is happy(:

DRINKS COMMITTEE: CHERYL YONG, ALICIA CHEW
2 To assist the food committee, and getting drinks for everyone participating in the bbq party, and ensuring that there is enough for everyone in the party.

LOGISTICS: LORENA NICOLAS GOH, VIVIAN ONG, KARINE
3 To take care of the props and materials needed for the games, and the bbq. For example, the brushes for the butter, and the skewers and such. And also to help the environmental committee, by getting the brooms and anything necessary for cleaning up purposes after the whole party.
**please take note that Mrs Phua wants you all to bring a lot of aluminium foil. You can ask people to bring too.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE: NG XINXIAN, LAKSHMI
4 To take care of the shifts and what they are suppose to do.

PUBLICITY COMMITTEE: VIVIAN ONG, CHERYL YONG, ANNABELLE WONG

3. To post the details of the bbq on our blog and ask people to read for any changes.

PHOTOGRAPHY COMMITTEE: NG XINXIAN, GLORIA LIN

4. To take pictures throughout the whole day.

*Further details of the BBQ

Venue: School (PLMGSS)

Number of people attending: approx. 47

When will it be held: 30 December 2008, 10.00am – 4.00 pm

(Secondary 1s and 2s will end at 4.30 pm for the cleaning up of the place.)
(Secondary 2s will report at the school assembly area at 8.00am.)

Attire: any school shirts that is not white with bermudas or shorts that are not too short. (No FBTs are allowed.)

Things to bring: poncho/raincoat or umbrella, extra set of clothes+undergarments, towel (optional).
**DO NOT BRING A BIG BAG.
**DO NOT BRING TOO MUCH MONEY (FOR IN CASE IT GETS STOLEN)
**DO NOT BRING MP3s AND ALL (FOR IN CASE IT GETS STOLEN)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

ATTIRE
1. Do not rest on one foot while standing, at all times.
2. No track shoes are allowed.
3. No watches and jewellery are to be worn during parade.
4. Cadets are to wear their full uniform on the first Friday of every month.
5. Cadets are to put on their silver buttons, belts, headdress, boots etc when they are wearing the full-uniform.
6. All St. John attire should be kept clean, and boots should be kept well-polished. 7. No leaning against the wall.
8. Cadets are not allowed to rest their hands on another person’s shoulders when in full uniform.
9. No putting of hands into pocket.
10. Cadets are to be neat at all time.
11. Cadets are to change out of their full uniform after St John activities.
12. Full/half uniform should be worn according to the St John Ambulance Brigade uniform regulations.
13. Nametags are to be worn at all times. It can only be taken off after parades when the attire is half uniform.
14. Valuables can be kept in cadet’s pockets during parade.

CONDUCT
1. Every St. John cadet should be proud of St. John.
2. Every St. John cadet should strive to bring glory to the corp and school, and take pride in the things they do for St. John.
3. Every St. John cadet has to greet the teachers they meet in school at all times.
4. Cadets have to greet their officers and seniors during any St. John activity.
5. Every St. John cadet has to salute to all St John teachers, officers and seniors when in full uniform.
6. All cadets are to be polite when speaking to anyone of higher authority.
7. Reply when a question is being asked.
8. Pay attention to whoever is speaking.
9. There should be a sense of urgency in whatever every cadet does.
10. Cadets are to endure during punishments, and there should be no misbehaving. 11. No fidgeting during drill.
12. Unity is expected among each year, and throughout the entire corp.
13. Every cadet must be punctual for every St. John activity.
14. Cadets should take initiative in whatever they do.

PROCEDURE
1. All St. John cadets are to check the notice board everyday – during recess, before, and after school.
2. All St. John cadets must attend the training camp and other compulsory activities organized, unless with valid reasons.
3. Cadets who are absent for St John activities must produce Medical Certificates to the respective teachers-in-charge of their levels on the following day.
